Anthony Cox

Colorado

Anthony Cox moved from Southern California to Colorado after graduating high school in 1988. His passion for the outdoors and its majestic beauty are what drove him to Colorado. His passion also forged his future in the natural and physical sciences.

Anthony’s academic background and his compassion for people, coupled with his passion for the natural world, have provided him with a diverse career in health care, consulting, and research for the agricultural and environmental community.

When Anthony first moved to Colorado, he studied environmental sciences at Western State College in Gunnison, CO. After many years in the outdoor retail and recreational industry, Anthony went back to school at Oregon State University to earn his pedorthic certificate.

That decision led to a rewarding career in orthopedic healthcare and many volunteer opportunities, including the Veteran’s Administration, Wounded Warriors, Colorado Ski Ability, and the Shriners where he, respectively, taught disabled veterans how to ski; shared his passion for the outdoors with children with special needs; and volunteered his services to children who didn’t have the means to acquire the necessary orthopedic devices for conditions they presented.

Friends would describe Anthony as putting others before himself and as a great teacher. In his limited spare time Anthony enjoys skiing, rafting, hiking, attending outdoor music festivals, and volunteering.
